Stop Comparing Yourself To Others...

Today is another blog post which is going to be more of a talking one. So make sure you grab a beverage and prepare to have a good read and relax. In today's society we are always consistently comparing ourselves to other people. We even do it without realising we do it sometimes. I know I compare myself to either celebrities, you tubers and even my friends. We look at all their positives and wish to be like them or to become them. But what we are actually doing is losing sight of ourselves ad how unique we are as a person. Think of this in the billions of people who share the same planet as you, there's not one person who is like you. Even if you're a twin your twin may look like you and be born on the same day but they don't share the same thoughts are personality as you.

In day to day life we are shown all our negatives, all our bad things from the difficulties we face. Which then creates this idea in our head that "I will be happy when .... ". This is not your fault that you think this way. It's down to the society, media and negative people we are brought up with. This then makes up go round day to day life thinking of the things we are bad at, instead of the things that we are good at. We forget that nobody's perfect no matter how much they look like they are. I'm not perfect, celebrities aren't perfect neither is the Queen perfect. Everybody has their flaws and things that they are bad at. But this doesn't mean we should set our lives in this way. Just because you might not be academically clever doesn't mean you can't become a doctor. You can always find ways to achieve your dreams even though it may take longer then other people. You are capable of achieving anything in life. So what makes you less better than anyone else.

I'm definitely not perfect, for example I'm not necessarily academically clever but I am good at giving hugs.  Don't be you're own enemy. It is more likely that if you were to sit down and write a list of all the things that you are both good and bad at, toward the end you'll begin to think of all the little things you are good at, like being a caring family member or you're good at art. Even on bad days we are still good at more things than we think. We look at people and envy what they have, own or do. Forgetting about all the things that you in yourself have, own or do. If your reading this it's more likely that you have a roof over your head and food on your table. Think of that man that sleeps on the street in the cold during the winter, wondering when his next meal is. We forget about how lucky we are to have the things that we do in our lives.

The moral of this post is that happiness is found when you stop comparing yourself to other people. You are beautiful. You are smart. You are unique. Remember how brilliant you are. Next time you see somebody wearing something that looks amazing on them, say to them you look good. Then before you begin to think I wish I looked that good, remember the times that you looked good. Cherish yourself for who you are.
